After begining his accounting career in 1997 with a regional firm in Burlington NC Scott returned to Eden and joined the local firm of Charles L Burkett CPA. In 2005 they formed Burkett & Barham CPAs PLLC and in 2008 Scott fulfilled another career goal when he expanded his career and business creating Barham & Associates, CPA PC. Scott is a graduate of Appalachian State University, with a B.S. in business and a major in accounting. He is also a graduate of Morehead High School. Scott's emphasis has been as a generalist helping small business and individual clients with a wide range of consulting, planning, accounting, tax and QuickBooks issues. Scott is currently serving as a member of the Morehead Memorial Hospital Board of Trustees and is a past member of the Morehead Memorial Hospital Foundation Board of Directors. He is also serving as an appointee on the Rockingham Community College Board of Trustees. Scott served as past chairman and board member of the Eden Chamber of Commerce and Rockingham County Habitat for Humanity and he has been a past volunteer with the Eden Boys & Girls Club and YMCA. Scott, his wife Melanie and their two sons Holden and Mason reside in Eden.

Thomas is a graduate of Rockingham Community College, with an A.S. in accounting and continued his education in accounting and information system management at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. He has also been certified as a Pro Advisor for Intuit’s various QuickBooks software programs. With his years of experience Thomas’ emphases is helping small business and individual clients with a wide range of accounting, tax, consulting, and planning with QuickBooks issues. Thomas is also a member of the Eden Kiwanis.

Jaime joined the Barham & Associates, CPA PC team in 2012. She is a graduate from Radford University with a Bachelor of Business Adminsitration in Management and from Liberty University with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting. She is a member of the American Institue of Certified Public Accounts and the NC Association of Certified Public Accounts. Jaime is married to Curtis and they have one son. Community involvement is also very important to Jaime. She voluntters with the American Caner Society, including co-charing the 201-2011 Relay for Life event in Danville, VA.

Roby joined the Barham & Associates CPA, PC team in September of 2013. Roby obtained his accounting degree in May of 2013 from UNCG-Greensboro. He is currently recognized as a CPA Candidate, who is working towards satisfying his requirements. Roby and his wife Taylor reside in Eden, he is a member of the Salem United Methodist Church as well as the Piedmont chrysalis Community and the Eden Lions Club.

Melanie joined the Barham & Associates team in 2008. Melanie is a dedicated team member who serves as the office manager handling an array of responsibilities and tasks. Melanie’s insight, support and knowledge have been key in growing the Barham & Associate firm over the years. She is a dedicated wife to Scott Barham and loving mother to two boys, Holdan and Mason. Melanie enjoys spending her time outside of the office with her family, relaxing at the beach and shopping.

Taylor is a recent 2020 graduate from East Carolina University where she graduated with Magna Cum Laude honors and was apart of several clubs. She is excited to be pursuing a certificate in financial accounting and obtaining her CPA license while working at the firm. Taylor was born and raised in Eden, NC and graduated from J. M. Morehead High School in 2017. She is excited to begin this new chapter of her life at Barham & Associates and meet all of our wonderful clients. When she is not at work she enjoys playing with her dog, Brock, spending time with family and friends, and creating clay earrings.
